Armando Broja naar Southampton
Vitesse moet de komst van Armando Broja definitief uit het hoofd zetten.
De Arnhemmers hoopten de spits nog een seizoen te kunnen huren van Chelsea, maar de Londenaren sturen hem deze zomer voor een seizoen naar Southampton.
Volgens transferexpert Fabrizio Romano is er al een definitief akkoord bereikt. De negentienjarige Albanees was afgelopen seizoen goed voor tien eredivisietreffers en verdiende daarmee een nieuw contract bij Chelsea, tot medio 2026.
Chelsea FC youngster Armando Broja set for Southampton loan
Southampton are closing in on the loan signing of Chelsea forward Armando Broja.
After agreeing a new five-year contract with the teenager last month, Chelsea are ready to allow Broja the chance to head out on loan and gain crucial first-team experience after impressing with Vitesse Arnhem in the Eredivisie last season.
The Saints have already added two players – Tino Livramento and Dynel Simeu – on permanent deals from Chelsea this summer and Broja’s arrival is set to be announced in the next 48 hours.
Southampton are looking to replace Danny Ings after his shock move to Aston Villa and want to sign Broja and one other centre forward before the window closes at the end of the month.
With Romelu Lukaku set to arrive from Inter Milan before the close of the window, chances for Broja would have been limited at Stamford Bridge this season. Thomas Tuchel is also looking to move on Tammy Abraham this month.
