Chelsea’s Abramovich Not Involved In Vitesse Takeover

A spokesperson for Roman Abramovich has denied the billionaire is behind a takeover of Eredivisie outfit Vitesse.

The Russian's spokesperson has denied reports.

Georgian businessman Merab Jordania had apparently taken over the Dutch side, but Quote had suggested that Abramovich was in fact facilitating the deal.

However, that information is incorrect as a representative of the Chelsea owner from his private investment company Millhouse LLC explained that the report run by the financial magazine was "based on anonymous sources" and "misinformed", adding that the 43-year-old is "not involved".

Vitesse have struggled during these tougher economic times, selling off a majority of their stars over the last few season and building a team based on youth.
